Ebionite

The Ebionites were the Original Disciples of Jesus, who faithfully preserved his teachings of TheWay. They were Spiritual Israel, and could enter in and out of the Inner Kingdom. The Gentiles were too pagan and heathen to comprehend and embrace the teachings of Jesus, and the Church very quickly became corrupted and spiritually disenfranchised. This remains true to this very day.

The Inconceivable Truth Believers Close Their Eyes To

The horrible and ever looming reality that all people within the Church attempt to ignore, is the ever mounting evidence that the Ebionites were not the heretics that the Gentile Christians proclaimed they were -- but rather, very much represented the true teachings of Jesus just as many of the scholars have begun to realize (see http://ebionite.com/Evidence_of_the_Ebionites.htm ). After all, the Ebionites were drawn from the very number of Jews who were Jesus' constant companions -- and to suppose that discussions did not arise over the nature of God -- or man's relationship to God -- is pure lunacy. I particularly liked Brian McLaren's statement: "One of the problems is that the average Christian in the average church who listens to the average Christian broadcasting has such an oversimplified understanding of both the Bible and of church history - it would be deeply disturbing for them to really learn about church history." (see http://ebionite.com/TwoWrongs.htm ). The fact that most Christians are absolutely clueless as to how their doctrines of belief came to be formed -- and they have no idea that the very people who personally interacted with Jesus, came to be judged as heretics -- by idol worshiping heathens who were orgy driven and intoxicated pagans looking for a god that would permit them to continue to live their sensual hedonistic lifestyle, while being assured of salvation without any real change in thinking and actions, most believers would be in shock and awe if they truly knew the history of both the Bible and the Church!
In speaking of the Ebionite position which is supported by the uncorrupted copies of the scriptures and noted Church authorities prior to the fourth century who all state that at his baptism, Jesus became the Christ and these words were spoken to him from On High: “Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee”. One Bible Commentary goes as far as to state that if these words are true, then the whole of the Christian religion is vain and baseless. And yet, the promise was that we would not be left orphens in the world! But since each of us is the prodigal son or daughter of our Heavenly Father, the key to knowing the Truth is to become the "good ground" in the parable of the Sower and the Seed ( http://SowerAndSeed.com ) -- pick up one's own cross and over come our divided natures -- and walk in TheWay in imitation of Messiah/Christ and the pattern of Jesus, our elder brother.
